Did you know that Julie’s is a Boston Pre-K site?
Boston Pre-K, is an initiative by the City of Boston and Boston Public Schools, that promises to deliver high-quality pre-kindergarten that is free of cost to Boston’s three and four-year-old children. Pre-K is a 6.5-hour school day for 180 days per year.
High-quality pre-kindergarten means:
- Pre-Kindergarten program that exceeds national standards
- All Lead Pre-K teachers have a Bachelors Degree and are prepared to teach in classroom settings to support students of all backgrounds and needs.
- Teachers receive ongoing professional development throughout the year to enhance their teaching.
- Expert coaches provide ongoing support to teachers.
- Students learn from the Boston Public Schools Focus on Pre-K curriculum and the Building Blocks curriculum, which are national models in early childhood education.
- All classroom environments are age-appropriate and culturally responsive.

- Special to Julie’s – brand new onsite Colin’s Joy Project library
Boston Pre-K at Julie’s runs M-F 9am – 3:30pm during the school year on a schedule similar to BPS.
