Our Impact

Enrollment

Julie’s enrollment is growing, with more students overall, and more attending in person, than at any time since the beginning of the pandemic.  

Last fiscal year, Julie’s served 229 students:

  • 162 learners 16+ in Adult Basic Education
  • 31 parents in Family Development
  • 36 children infant to 6-years-old in Children’s Services 

Outcomes

Julie’s students are graduating from our programs with their high school equivalency and moving forward in a variety of next steps including employment, studying for medical careers, entering the police academy and union apprenticeship, starting community college, and more.

Last fiscal year,   

  • 10 students received their high school equivalency
  • 12 started their high school equivalency testing and were in process at the end of the year

Programs & Partnerships

  • 9 Boston Public Schools’ parents, seeking to improve their communications with their children’s schools, participated in our English training program funded by a grant from English for New Bostonians
  • 42 students were trained through our Tech Goes Home program.
  • 10 students received certificates in Julie’s certificate programs: An Introduction to Medical Careers and Office Skills & Technology  
  • 400+ current students and alums received holiday food and gifts, back to school supplies for their children, and emergency and transportation assistance through our wrap around support services
