5th Annual Friendraiser
Julie’s fifth annual Friendraiser was held at The Supper Club at Capo on September 28, 2017. We had a lively night celebrating the fifth anniversary of our social media launch.
An Event to Celebrate and Support Julie’s
On May 3, 2017, over 125 people gathered at Foley and Lardner, LLP., in Back Bay to celebrate and support Julie’s. We raised $100,000 in one night for the mothers and children at Julie’s. We are thankful to host Matt Karlyn and committee members Juin and James Cohen, Amy and Peter Dowd, Enid Levangie, Maureen Mellowes and Casey Shaughnessy for their contributions to the evening’s success. We are also grateful to current participant Maggie Docanto for bravely sharing her story with the crowd.
2016 Annual Event
On 12/1/16, 300 people gathered for our annual event at Venezia Restaurant to see State Representative Nick Collins receive the 2016 Angel Award and to hear powerful testimony from our family advocate, Arlene Rivera. We are grateful for the support of those who donated, attended or supported our Annual Event.
4th Annual Friendraiser
Our 4th annual Friendraiser was held at Capo Restaurant in South Boston on September 29, 2016. Over 175 friends and supporters of Julie’s gathered to celebrate and support Julie’s. Our first Friendraiser coincided with the launch of an updated website, a Facebook page, a Twitter account and a Constant Contact newsletter. Four years later we are happy to report we have over 1,000 Facebook friends, 217 Twitter followers, and Constant Contact updates going out to 2,000 people. Thank you to our Friendraiser Committee 2016 – Matt Asiaf, Janine Bain, Kathy Bitetti, Lauretta Brennan, Laine Crowe, Maureen Dahill, Christine Fennelly, Julie Galgay, Jennifer Gwatkin, Hanadi Hamzeh, Andrew Letendre, Jean Provenzano, Ben Rogers, Kristin Rogers and Mary Beth Sweeney. Special thanks to our sponsors for that evening
